And now, without further ado, the winners in the Graffiti portion of the contest. Best Overall will receive a green Inspiron laptop, and the winners in the other categories will each get Dell 22″ Ultrasharp Widescreen Flat Panel Monitors:
Best Overall:
Nick Tustin (USA)

John Calder (Canada)
Creative Vision of a Green Future:
Anna Leychenko (USA)
Most Inventive Green Technology:
Benjamin Rennich (Canada)
Sustainable Architecture:

The winner in the text portion of the contest also will be receiving a green Inspiron laptop. The entry encapsulated the spirit of the ReGeneration movement beautifully with an interpretation of a classic Japanese haiku. The judges loved the concept of ReNewal and ReTurning expressed in the entry, as if time were cyclical, and we can look to the future simply by considering our past.
Text Entry:
“The old pond;
a frog jumps in -
the sound of water.
- Matsuo Basho
For me, it is not just going green, it is going back to green. This famous Japanese haiku has a zen peace that is in essence the color green. An overgrown mossy pond, an olive green frog, and even the splashy sound of green. Now if we can truly regain the reverence and respect the ancients had for our world, we can then move forward and actually go green.”
Kevin Todd (USA)
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to the entire community for helping to make this contest a success. We have a lot of exciting stuff planned for the future, so be sure to join the movement and share your green ideas. Some interesting discussions are taking place in Cafe RE, so stop by for a chat by when you’ve got a spare moment. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas on greening our planet.

A sustainable future doesn’t always mean green but a green future IS a sustainable future. It is a balance between technology helping the ecosystem and in return the ecosystem helps technology. Equilibrium is achieved. That is the future I wish for.

This is called ” Welcome to Green City”. The city has a eco system..the time is not too much ahead in the future as you can see there are some buildings not too futuristic…U might notice the middle two buildings has a cone tree shape, it’s a reminder to understand the value of trees…btw that car is a hybrid, if it wasn’t it wouldn’t be allowed in Green City

Transportation is one of the biggest factor that’s affecting the environment, and it’s is what we need the most in our daily life…so I was thinking about a city with tall buildings that are connected to each other, where one lives and goes to work, everything is near by…

Bringing balance to the ecosystem is the desire to benefit all forms of life. These terns share the fish as we share our bounties towards our immediate environment, our future world, and the faraway places we may never witness. Through gratitude of our hearts, we know this existence.

The future reflects what we do today. If we choose to harm the enviorment, the future will show… We should already have an idea of what we want to see and what we want our future generations to see.

My graffiti, “Let’s Focus”, intends to show that we are so involved with violence in the media and around us that most of us fail to notice our natural surroundings that we exist in. Also, we spend billions and billions of dollars in wars that we, intelligent human beings, cannot seem to solve with communication. The money wasted on our selfish greed could have been used more efficiently on other issues like funding for research on how to become more nature friendly, planting more trees, etc.
